we all have our Favorite 5 photos we took during the past 30 days or so...
The creature in this photo is a sign of Autumn in my neighborhood... or probably any neighborhood with box elder trees in the area! Don't know his technical name but he is well known as a Box Elder Bug. These creatures invade our homes and buildings in droves this time of year... striving for a warm place for the winter I guess.
You may call it Autumn... you may call it Fall. Whatever the name, it is here. It came with a vengeance... including snowstorms that brought visibility down to perhaps a car-length in front of your face. Fortunately for my part of mid-Michigan, there was not enough snow to 'stick' around!!!

Haven't uploaded my personal favorites for September but two participants already have! Decided I'd better give us this place to post them. Thanks Karen!!! Thanks Sharba!!! I guess a couple of boots in the behind finally got me 'kick-started' this month. I'll post yours in the comments for this month so you don't have to repeat...

Neither rain nor sleet nor cold nor heat can stop us. from our pursuit of the perfect photograph!
It's been hot & humid here in mid-Michigan and I've been busy with a be-jillion things but always find time for a bit of photography. During this month I've been fortunate to motivate a very talented lady in such a way that she has just added photography to her list of talents. When you get a moment, stop by and see Sharba's Pix. ...and post them right here so we can go see what you've been up to! I've actually posted more pics than usual this past month - including a half dozen lighthouse photos. I'm thinking I don't want to 'double-use' them so why don't you stop by and tell me what you think anyway? A local newspaper presented a challenge and I couldn't resist it... and I know YOU can't resist a challenge either, so start digging through the photos you've taken in the past 30 days or so, post your favorite 5 and tell us where we can view them!

Thanks Karen! May, for me, was the most eventful month this year. With a broken right foot well on the road mending, my medical grounding is over... I can drive again! Besides the normal activities there was lots of catching up to do.

Unseasonably warm weather, a bunch of birthdays... not to forget Mother's Day and at least one wedding anniversary, spring flowers and sunshine! Let's get our Favorite 5 for May posted before the month is over!

April showers may bring flowers....

...but sometimes those showers are snow! A few years ago we were stranded over by Lake Michigan because of a blizzard in late April. Don't forget to share your favorite 5 photos here some time around the 15th of April. Even though I've been pretty much grounded by a broken foot I've loads of photos to pick from... so no excuses, okay?
